DESCRIPTION:Remembering Dolly Parton (1946-2026). \nIt’s a film – and a song – that hardly needs any introduction. A group of women office workers all band together to seek revenge on the sexist\, egotistical\, lying\, hypocritical bigot who is making their lives miserable. This groundbreaking American comedy stars Jane Fonda\, Lily Tomlin\, and the late Dolly Parton as three women who unite to live out their fantasies and overthrow their boss\, Dabney Colman. \nThe three stars would remain friends for life\, and all reunite in the 2022 finale of the sitcom Grace and Frankie. Based on an idea by Fonda and produced by her company\, IPC Films\, this film broke new barriers for the feminist cause and labour rights. It also became the vehicle for Parton’s radical pop anthem\, one of the biggest hits of the decade that remains iconic today. \nJoin us at the Theatre Royal for a night of celebration and love for the angel that is Dolly Parton.
