International Women’s Day – co-presented with Castlemaine Documentary Festival

This International Women’s Day eve, the Castlemaine Documentary Festival has got you sorted.

5:00pm – Looking for Simone
Simone de Beauvoir’s ‘The Second Sex’ ignited a global feminist movement. This documentary follows her U.S. journey as she wrote the book, exploring the ideas that shaped her work and their relevance today.

7:30pm – Teaches for Peaches
Loud, fearless, and unapologetic, this documentary dives into the world of genre-smashing musician and performance artist, Peaches, who’s been breaking gender and sexual norms for decades.

9:00pm: Paddock Bomb – gig!
Join Central Victoria’s very own sisters of shred, Paddock Bomb for some seriously fierce, feminist-fuelled rock. Come and see why their last show sold out!

Option to purchase tickets for one film, or both films and live show.

OUTFIT CODE: Dress to mess with the patriarchy!

Session times:

Dine in or takeaway pizza Tuesday – Sunday

Semi-sourdough pizza made with organic ingredients and a very little amount of yeast. The magic is in the fermentation process, which takes up to 72 hours. Each pizza is then balled up and hand-stretched to order. We cook our pizza in a 500c oven with a stone floor. The effect is a thin, crisp base with a puffy, leopard-spotted crust. No bookings required.
