MUSIC & EVENTS
Set in the heart of Castlemaine, the Theatre Royal is the longest continuously operating theatre on the mainland. Winner of the best Regional Music Venue, five times running, the theatre hosts some amazing local and international artists.
RMFC + Station Model Violence
RMFC is the solo project of the former-child prodigy Buz Clatworthy. After years of relentless touring in Australia, Europe and the USA, they finally realise the dream of playing the iconic Theatre Royal in Castlemaine.
Main support is Station Model Violence for a Castlemaine launch of their debut LP of psychedelic post punk. Released via Anti Fade Records and freshly named 3RRR Album Of The Week, the self-titled debut captures the restless energy of a six-piece post-punk outfit drawing together members from across Australia’s experimental and garage scenes. The band brings together vocalist DX (Daniel Stewart, known for work with Total Control and The UV Race) alongside collaborators spanning RMFC, Den, and Gaud – forming a project rooted in both reinvention and collision.
